I spent a day above the incredible landscape of Utah’s San Rafael Swell and surrounding areas. I was drawn to the repetitive pattern of the badlands area outside of Cainville. We were flying into 36 mph headwinds in a little bush plane, so composing this shot, while keeping the image sharp was a difficult challenge. I am completely ecstatic with how this image turned out.
